This class will teach you the Ba Fa Wu Bu (Eight Energies Five Directions) Tai Chi form. The Ba Fa Wu Bu form is a contemporary form with elements from three different Tai Chi styles: Yang, Chen and Sun, making it a wonderful introduction to the wide ranging world of Tai Chi. We will explore the 8 energies of Tai Chi present in all styles: Peng (outward expansion), Lu (roll back), Ji (press), An (push), Cai (pluck), Lie (split), Zhou (elbow), Kao (shoulder). These 8 energies are then paired with one of 5 directions: forward, backward, left, right, and center.
